This Netflix-like almost clone is the easiest way to watch a movie or a tv show. It comes with few addons actually but the best for the best KODI experience for movies, tv shows, kids and even iptv and music!
The included addons consist of Zen, Exodus, SALTS, BOB, Phoenix, DandyTV, Dandy Media, Metalliq, F4mtester, Karma, EZ Maintenance.

Recommended for a high-end device since it is using a lot of thumbnails, so if you run it on a Firestick make sure to have a lot of space available!

Octagon SF128 REVIEW

WITH THANKS TO

The Octagon Sf128 is a Korean manufactured DVB-S2 Satellite Receiver, which also has a DVB-C2 cable equivalent (SF138).

It has a very modern look to it and is also H.265 HEVC compatible, allowing playback of H265 (X265) coded material. When I received this device, I must admit I didn’t see the wow factor, until I plugged it in. It runs the E2 Community build flawlessly (Better than most devices I have tested TBH).

This device would be perfect for those with a single satellite feed, like an apartment with
 a communal satellite dish with a single feed, or maybe even a second device as a multi room option.

I originally tried this device with Openvix, but found the platform to not be as responsive as Openatv, this could be down to the fact that I am so used to ATV and not familiar with VIX. However, once the E2 Community build was loaded onto it, the response of it was tremendous and the picture quality was amazing.

As you are aware, every test I do involves installing an IPTV service onto the device. In my eyes, I can’t see the point in having a box that isn’t capable of running HD IPTV content.

After fully installing the IPTV service including the EPG I run the tests and the outcome………

I was blown away that it didn’t buffer once whilst watching a full match. Some people would say, ‘thats a reliable IPTV supplier’, but IPTV is only as good as the device its running on. Few screenshots here of it in action.

Right………time for the biggest flaw, which will come as no surprise what-so-ever.

The remote control.. the layout of it is brilliant, easy to find buttons, has a nice weight and feel to it and is well labelled and very responsive, when within 3-4 metres.

However the infra red I have found as a let down, as you literally have to point the remote at the box not towards the box like most remotes, but in all fairness I haven’t yet come across a box with a perfect remote control.

I have recently purchased a one for all remote, which I tested with this device and it runs perfect!

This is the first single tuner device that I have had the pleasure in testing and after testing it, i am seriously considering purchasing one each for the kid’s bedrooms, to stop the bickering of who’s watching what.

HOW TO BACKUP YOUR CURRENT IMAGE AND REINSTALL IT, OR INSTALL A CUSTOM IMAGE ON THE 

MUTANT HD51 4K RECEIVER

This tutorial is based on the OPENATV image.

Quite a few people have experienced problems when trying to load the E2 Community image on the Mutant HD51, here is a tutorial on how to backup your image and how to install a custom image.

HOW TO BACKUP YOUR IMAGE

1.) PRESS MENU AND GOTO SETUP AND PRESS ENTER

2.) SCROLL DOWN TO SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT AND PRESS ENTER

3.) SCROLL DOWN TO BACKUP IMAGE AND PRESS ENTER

4.) PRESS YELLOW

5.) PRESS YELLOW AGAIN

6.) MAKE SURE NEXT TO YELLOW IT SAYS RECOVERY AND PRESS RED

7.) LET THE MAGIC BEGIN MAKING YOUR BACKUP IMAGE

8.)  THE BACKUP IMAGE IS COMPLETE

9.) IT WILL CREATE A FOLDER LIKE THIS, THIS IS NOT THE IMAGE. OPEN IT.

10.) INSIDE THE fullback_mutant51 FOLDER, THERE WILL BE ANOTHER FOLDER WITH THE DATE AND TIME OF THE BACKUP. THIS ISN’T THE BACKUP EITHER, OPEN IT! 

11.) THIS IS THE BACKUP FOLDER, WHEN RESTORING THIS IS THE FOLDER THAT GOES ON USB!

12.) THE BACKUP FOLDER SHOULD BE AROUND THE 1GB MARK.

HOW TO RESTORE THE IMAGE

13.) COPY THE HD51 FOLDER TO USB STICK

14.) IF YOU COPIED THE FULL BACKUP FOLDER MAKE SURE YOU EXTRACT THE HD51 FOLDER TO THE ROOT OF USB, LIKE THIS!

15.) DOWN POWER THE BOX COMPLETELY, PUT THE USB STICK IN THE USB SLOT ON THE BOX AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE FRONT AND REAPPLY POWER, WHEN DISPLAY SHOWS ‘flashing’ TAKE YOUR FINGER OFF THE POWER BUTTON.

JOB DONE!

How To Install Pro Sport

Install Pro Sport Kodi Addon has a lot of sporting content which includes NFL, MLB, NHL & NBA games. If you are a fan of American football, basketball, hockey or baseball then Pro Sport is a Kodi addon you will need.  Pro Sport addon is available through Fusion repo. If you know how to install Fusion repo on Kodi you can skip most of this and go straight to the addon and install from Podgod repo.

How To Install Real-Movies Addon For Kodi/SPMC

I’d like to introduce you to an all new add-on to the community from a well known member of the community, Kodi-Mad-Man. Well known for all of his fantastic install blogs. Now it’s time for me to make an install blog for his addon, Real-Movies. Make sure to follow him on Twitter @kodi_mad

Real-Movies is a quality over quantity build in my opinion even though I know the content will continue to be added.

Home-page:

Home Page as you can see concentrates on HD, 3D, 4K quality movies and more, something the community has been looking for for some time now. All movies are one click play and all the movies I tried worked perfectly.

How To Install:

• Under the System menu click on File-Manager
• Click on Add Source
• In the file source type the following exactly http://thecommunityrepo.netai.net/zip
• In enter name call it Comrepo
• Now back out of here and press System itself
• And then click Add-ons
• Then Install from zip
• Now click on repository.communityrepo-*.*zip
• Wait until you see the notification letting you know the repository is now installed.
• Now click Install from Repository, then Community Repository
• Find Video Addons, Real-Movies and then when open click install. Real-movies can now be found in your Video Addos section.

More About Real-Movies:

4K Movies, something that a lot of people in the community have been asking for a long while now.

3D Movies, not something found in very many addons but a welcome addition.

Other section include HD, Oldskool, Disney, Comedy and Boxsets. As you can see there is something for everyone and in fantastic quality. I hope you enjoy using this addon, Kodi-Mad has promised to continue adding content so there will always be something new to watch in high quality.

How To Install Zen Kodi Addon

How To Install Zen add-on on your kodi device this addon is quite a new Movie addon and available through the Schism TV repo. If you already have Schism repo installed that you can grab it from the video add-on section.

Having tested the Zen addon on kodi is seems very similar to Exodus style. We have been advised they recommend using a Real Debrid account to get the best out of Zen kodi addon. You’ll need Real Debrid sources to be enabled in settings). You will find this does also use different sources.

1. Open Kodi
2. Select SYSTEM > File Manager
3. Select Add Source
4. Select None
5. Type the following EXACTLY http://www.schism-tv.net/repo/ and select Done
6. Highlight the box underneath Enter a name for this media Source, type schism & Select OK
7. Go back to your Home Screen
8. Select SYSTEM
9. Select Add-Ons
10. Select Install from zip file
11. Select Schism
12. Select repository.schismtvaddons-x.x.x.zip
13. Wait for Add-on enabled notification
14. Select Install from Repository or Get Add-Ons
15. Select Schism TV Addons Repository
16. Select Video Add-ons

If you are having any issues with the add-on then a database delete could help fix any issues you are having (not buffering).
• Open Kodi
• Select SYSTEM
• Select File Manager
• Select Profile Directory
• Select Database
• Rename addonsxx.db (xx is the current version number of your db and we are renaming just in case you need to replace it). Just call it something like maddonsxx.db
• Reboot Kodi
• This will recreate the addons db file. You will see updates when your restart

Mass surveillance by the government has been one of the most discussed topics ever since former NSA contractor, Edward Snowden, revealed the mass data collection by federal agencies.

Federal agencies over the years have secretly collected and logged our browser histories, websites visited, account passwords, and email activity, and use the information to build the profile of the individual.

The collected metadata is stored for more than a year, the absurdness of this culture is that the information will be collected whether the individual is a person of interest in an investigation or not.

Long-written petitions and call for government to stop the massive hacking of its citizens has fallen on deaf ears after the UK and US governments have all passed different laws that will give intelligence agencies, ISPs, mobile carriers, and messaging apps the legal authority to hack anybody without warrant.

This law recently brought into play allows ISPs to store browsing history and domains visited for one year. If you want protection, for the sake of a small amount of money per month, we recommended using a VPN. Our preferred VPN of choice is IPVanish VPN.
