Anyone reading these blogs should by now know that Kodicommunity is the man behind this amazing community which entails:

Facebook.com/kodicommunity

Now I could waffle on but this Interview is about Kodicommunity so lets get Kodicommunity to do the talking:

Tell me a little about yourself and your background?

I am a 41 year old male just a normal guy with a full time job in the logistics industry, my position is Business Development manager which I have done for around 20 years. I Love sport, mainly football if I’m not at a game I will be watching it on TV.

How long have you been using Kodi and why do you use it?

Xbmc/Kodi I have been using for around 3 years, Kodi platform gives me and every other user the opportunity to watch TV / Movies etc when I want to watch it and for free.

What is your current set up?

I have a simple set-up currently using a Fire TV box running AppNettv Kronos skin which I have changed slightly to benefit me. I probably have around 5-10 addons as that’s all you really need and it runs very fast.

What Add-on’s are you currently using on your set-up?

Currently I am using Zeus quite a bit & my man UK Turk & the Phoenix team. I don’t have a lot of addon’s but always have backup plan just encase. But I must say again, personally I appreciate all the devs work.

Now people reading this will know you are behind the website this interview is published on, how did Kodicommunity.com first come to fruition?

Kodicommunity honestly happened when there was a bit unrest in the community, I’m not going to mention the site or people that caused this issue. So I saw a gap in the Kodi community to build a website and bring the community back and unite everyone. In the short time we have been doing this we have grown rapidly and I am personally grateful for our teams help and the support we have had so far from our followers and users.

What was your aim for Kodicommunity.com?

Hmm I want us to be the best simple as that really. The team are fantastic and without you all I could not have done this on my own.

What sets Kodicommunity apart from the other websites within the community?

I’d like to think other sites look up to us, I certainly know that some sites have replicated what we do. That says to me we are the best and most informative. I would like to think we bring news out fast and certainly from our sites growth it would suggest that we do just that.

Kodicommunity.com is growing substantially every day, are you surprised by this?

Yes I’m surprised for sure. I didn’t expect us to grow this fast in our 5-6 months online and on social media. We are currently growing by the day as you have mentioned and I do love stats so I also check analytic reports which I get blown away with how well we are doing.

What do you think is making the website such a hit with the Kodi users out there?

I think it’s purely down to having a great team doing great work and bringing ideas and the latest Kodi related products for our users.

What do you think is the best thing about Kodi?

Pretty simple its FREE. Long Live Kodi, and I must say a HUGE thank you to the developers and other lads and lasses that give us what we have today without them we would not have anything.

What message would you like to get across to Kodicommunity users?

I hope you all enjoy what we do for you, we do get some great feedback from you all, which I know makes what we do worthwhile. All I ask is you spread the love retweet and share our stuff on social media “Caring is Sharing”.

What do you get out of seeing the website and not forgetting the forum being so popular?

I do get a kick from it, not going to lie it is hard work and dedication from us all to make it what it is. The Forum and our Facebook page are relatively new but certainly growing so if everyone could join them like them I would have a huge smile for sure.

Who do you admire most within the wider community?

God there’s a lot mate as mentioned in a previous question the developers and those that give us what we have in our homes hats off to them huge respect and dedication. I have to also say I really appreciate everyone that is directly involved with Kodicommunity I certainly couldn’t do it on my own and owe a hell of a lot to you all. I hope you all stick around for years to come.

How much of your time is spent on twitter, facebook or forum each day? I bet you have no idea.

Honestly first thing in a morning when I wake up phone is in my hand because we have a worldwide following there’s a lot of tweets, messages & new subscribers on Twitter, Facebook and our forum to sort out. During the day every day during the week while at work not ideal but I like to provide a service and answer people on a timely manner. I do retweet quite a bit purely because I don’t have time to answer everyone plus a lot of questions is repeated. I have to thank our followers for chipping in and helping honestly I love that you all help each other that’s what makes this a truly unique community. So to answer your question every day from when I open my eyes and most days till when I shut them. I am a work horse and as mentioned I want us to be the biggest and the best. My dedication to kodicommunity won’t stop that’s my promise to you all. I filled this in while at work 😉

KodiCommunity has just bought out the Community Wizard. Why did you decide to do this and what are you aiming to accomplish as there are numerous wizards already?

I decided to do the wizard as another string to our bow having spoke to a few builders they said Community Portal was a nightmare at times and becoming frustrating. So I thought why not give this a go. I spoke with @kodienthusiasts about it and he was very keen to develop something. I then spoke with someone on about hosting the files for us and 3-4 weeks down the line we have some top builds, currently around 31 and growing.

I know the skin developers and builders are really keen to add more builds & skins to the wizard to the current setup, so if anyone is interested please get in touch. Big thank you to these guys for their work and countless hours they put in for us all.

Link for wizard can be found here.

I personally would like to thank Kodicommunity for this Interview and for the passion and commitment he has shown in building what is turning out to be a great community to be part of. Long may it continue to grow and develop into the go to for anything Kodi.
