How To Install VPN on Amazon Firestick
The following tutorial will show you how to install VPN on Amazon Firestick. If you don’t already have a VPN account, you will need to sign up for a VPN provider. This guide shows you how to install IPVanish VPN which is one of the best VPN for Amazon on the Firestick as it is our preferred VPN provider and we have also set up a special discount for you.
This is a pretty straight forward process and you should have your Amazon VPN installed in 10 minutes.
Just to make you aware this will only work on 2nd gen Amazon Fire Stick, 1st Generation Amazon Fire TV, 2nd Generation Amazon Fire TV.
How to Install VPN on Firestick
Go to your Fire TV settings, click on Device, Developer options and turn on Apps from unknown sources, this will allow you to install the VPN.
In your setup, make sure both Apps from Unknown Sources and ADB debugging are switched on according to the picture above.
You might see a warning about turning on apps from unknown resources, just click yes, you can always turn it off after the tutorial.
Now go back to the home screen, and click the search icon, and in the search screen, enter the term “Downloader” In the “Apps and Games” category.
Click the “Downloader app” to go on the next screen where you can download the downloader app.
After the downloader app is installed, open it to where you will need to enter a URL:
In the URL, with your remote, input the following URL:
This URL will allow you to download the latest version of the IPVanish VPN app;
Once you have entered http://bit.ly/ipvanishapk click on the download button.
You will see the progress bar, and a Install window, confirming if you want to go ahead with Installation, and also display the permission of the app, scroll down, and click on “Install”
A notification will show “App Installed” when its finish installation, and you will see the “Open” button in the window, go ahead and open the App.
Remember the username and password you had when you created your IPVanish VPN account, this is where you use it. If you have not yet created an account, got to IPVanish now and sign up for a special discount.
When you log in, you should see a tutorial, which you can either enjoy or skip. I will skip it for this article, and fully see the IPVanish window.
You can then connect to any country that appears in your IPVanish VPN app from this window.
As you can see from the image above, I am about to connect to a United States server, using the best server and city available.
Once I click connect, it will show a connection request:
Go ahead and click “OK” for the connection to start.
Installing IPVanish VPN on the Firestick is as simple as that.
Anytime you need to open the IPVanish VPN app again, go to your Apps & Games section and you will see the IPVanish logo.
